WOW!! you had a H*** of a day!!!

Out of all your finds today I love the Indian Head civil war token! Those are worth some money on ebay!!! :)

Wow, fantastic finds!
The 1854 dime is a seated liberty. The IH's and nickel are in good shape
Get a copy of the Redbook and compare the outline of the devices of the 1782 to photos in the colonial section
and then let us know what it is
You've got an awesome site there

Thanks for the info and ideas Dave and all. The 1782 coin appears to be a Spanish coin. I can just see an image on front that look like this coin and "III" in the upper left quarant of the coin. One the back I can just make out the bottom and 1/8 of a pillar. These match with the spanish coin from that period and the US was using Spanish coin extensively then.

Ignore all the chineese scratched into this coin. Mine looks to be this coin but mine is waffer thin.

Alsao note the 1782 date text style is identical.

It is exactly the diameter of a common US nickel. Not sure what coin that makes it?

Super Finds!!!!!!!!!!!!  The 1782 is a 2 Reale from Spain.
Regards,
Jon Dickinson.

I believe it is actually a One Real instead--due to its size.

The IH token is a CW-Era store card.  Can you post what it says on the back?

These are all GREAT finds.

Regards,

Buckleboy

P.S.--the 1854 coin you posted in the first photo looks like a half dime--and in the second photo obviously a dime. They look like different coins sizewise, as well as wear. The first coin is a cull--AG tops, and the second at least three grades better, with a full rim.

Wierd!

Holey Moley, You are having one GREAT week.. You are the M6 Man.. big time congrats to you.. you most certainly deserve it..

The back side says:

Springfield, O

And Buckle Boy, guess what! The dime images are of ONE dime. The front only shows the 1854 date and the back is as shown, and is as good as can be! I don't understand it either....lol

SKD Thanks for all your help. If it is a nickle size, what is it then and is it supposed to be really thin?

Wierd. Maybe they started filing it down to make a love token and it was lost...but it's Wierd LOL. Wierd I tell ya. :icon_scratch:

Anyhow, my money is still on One Real for the spanish silver coin. I assume this is your earliest silver? If so, a BIG CONGRATS!

You are really kicking some tail there Terry after a long dry spell

Fantastic finds Terry, ! ! ! keep that location under your hat and hit it often till you cant get another beep.
kib (John)

Terry,

It is a 1 Reale like the others stated. When you said quarter sized, I figured it was a 2 Reale. The 1 Reale are the size of a nickel and very thin. Only reason I know is that I got lucky and found a 1 Reale in the spring. I got lucky on the condition. Yours is a slightly different style b/c it is older, but here is a pic of the one I found.
Super Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regards,
Jon Dickinson.
