These pics represent my 7th visit to a 1715 homestead. The house consists of a 1715 cape style part, and then during the 1780's a huge colonial was attached to the cape.

During this hunt I hit the woods area surrounding the house. It was tough going as it was very overgrown. I managed to snag the standard gilt button and the KGII on my way around. I ended up in the very front following a row of trees that lined an old road no longer in use. I had hit this area but one time during my many visits to this site. The areas right under the trees were just packed dirt and moss so it was safe to dig. I left the grassy areas for the fall when things get moist again. As luck would have it, I missed some really nice items and am able to present them to you today. A tie goes to my favorite finds from this day to the King William half penny with a legible side date of 1699, and the really cool free masonry colonial cufflink!!

Here are links to my first 6 visits. Enjoy the pics

That Masonic piece is KILLER! That copper doesn't suck either

Absolutely awesome hunt. Welcome to the 1600's club, if this is your first.

That cuff link is the coolest find I have seen in a while!!!! Awesome site you have!!!:occasion14:

Whoa. Huge congrats!

Nice site you're on there. The King William is in pretty nice shape. Usually those are pretty well worn. Nice early buttons showing up as well. Of course the masonic cuff link is a really cool find. Here is a linked pair I found last fall.
