buckle

Dug this cool buckle but im not sure what kind it is, any help would be appreciated.

Found in nova Scotia behind some houses that date mid to late 1700 and 1800, its 2 1/2 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and i think made of brass. i have looked everywhere but can't seem to find this type of buckle.

So I believe this is a copper buckle bracelet, but I cant find any more information about it. It was the very last thing I cleaned and I wasn't expecting that floral pattern to pop out. I would love to know more, maybe an age range? The first buckle is a shoe buckle right? But i'm stumped on...
