1770's House Finally Gives Some Silver
Joe and I waited for the rain to subside,
and then we went at the site again.
There is a section of the fields that is
unplanted and used as a cattle run
between pastures. We hit that section
with little luck. Wasted a bit of time,
but at least now we know.
We used what little time we had left
and did a quick buzz through the side
yard. I was ecstatic to come away with
two nice buttons and my very first
Barber, a 1897 dime. All is well in my
book!!!

The "Grove Bros." button is from a local department
store that was open from 1905 until 1920. That little
sucker was 6.5 inches down.
