Was so nice to get out and dig. I started out on the South Jersey Shore and spent a few hours there. The only thing dug there was the 2 1947 nickles. On the way home I stopped at my favorite colonial era ghost towns. Dug the Jersey copper in just a few min of getting there. The buttons followed shorty there after. Welcome back Spring! Thanks for looking.

Is it frozen down by you? Here in essex county it's still frozen solid

Thank you Don. I will have a good look at it with the magnifier. I will say that this coin has good details but does seem thinner than other coppers I've dug.

Tony if thinner, than good possibility it was struck on another planchet, so yes, look carefully for any signs of being overstruck on another coin.............Don
