1794 Liberty Cap!!!!!

Half cent found in a field at one of my colonial sites yesterday, Also found a 1788 Connecticut copper. This is a very low mintage coin with only 81,600 minted, The 1916 D merc mintage is 264,000 Thanks for looking HH

Awesome half cent Coop.I'm voting banner.I dont think I've ever seen a Liberty cap half cent found.I always seem to find nothing but 1804 half cents.

1804 half cents 's seems to be common with these. 1794 is a different story ,, key date four sure

Very tough date to dig , condition is the Best you can hope for,, Indeed

Having Never Dug a LC or Copper of any kind I can only Dream Of Making such a find as that Beautiful & rare Half Cent.

OH wait I did dig one Large Cent last year , It was of the Cornet Style but was Rubbed Smooth & had 3 tiny holes through it's middle , Someone had turned it into a Button, Still Cool though.

That's a banner find to me. Pretty decent condition with a date, most treasure hunters can only dream of pulling a US copper that old out of the ground. You've got my vote.

I hear ya about your banner. I know u said u really don't care about it being on the banners but, I know I would like a banner. I found a civil war era police belt plate. I only got a few votes for mine. I look at the banners and there are a few diff belt plates. So that's what I said. How does one make it on and not the other. Makes no sense to me. You r right. With such a low montage that coin is incredible and I say it should be a banner w no doubt. I guess if it was gold it woulda made it.

Don't sweat it guys! To me they're both incredible finds and banner worthy. The coin may not be "sexy" looking enough for some. I think it's incredible and it's yours! Not many can say they have one and you can. That belt plate is amazing too. Sometimes sadly it's a bit of a popularity contest because people know eachother more than others. To me it doesn't really matter if it goes up top or not. It doesn't change how rare or great an item is and it doesn't change that you guys will have them in your collections forever. I would much rather have a "banner" find that never makes it up too than a questionable banner find that goes up. So to both of you , your finds are incredible and just enjoy them fellas. I love them both

Thanks buddy I'm gonna need a lil luck! He's got some very fertile and historically rich grounds up there. But all it takes is one great find. Your relic will look incredible in a nice display. That thing is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
