1798 Large Cent

I was lucky to find this lovely large cent on my last trip to Vermont. It came out of an area that was very dry, and it helped to keep it in good shape, thanks for looking, Rick.

congrats on the find my oldest so far is 1820 and that is my second i've found so far but for 1798 beauty for sure!

Congrats on a nice 1798 Large Cent, that year seems to hold up better than others in the Draped Bust series for some reason, it would be nice if the other half of the story was posted! (Reverse side).

I have the same theory about some of the early ones. something about the alloy.

You know what Rick, that coin looks better here on Tnet than it did in person. I think that flowing haired large cent deserves a ( Rubber Chicken )...........lolol We need more Chickens for the fall hunt! Great Find!
