1800's coin at my new site & My surprise hunting guest outdid me!!! L@@K

I invited a fellow TN member (a Yankee from Ohio) to come hunt this new plantation spot with me.
You all know him as "MIRAGE" (Bob). At first my wife was worried because I invited a stranger, and possible "serial killer" to stay at our home. :o ;D Well let me just say, Mirage is one of the nicest guys we've ever met, and is welcome here anytime.
We started out our hunt at about 9:00am when it was foggy, misty, and a tad bit cold. By the end of the day it was sunny, 60's, and we were in t-shirts.
Our hunt started out slow but soon picked up. My first hit was a Bull Durham watch FOB complete with chain. Bob picked up a beautiful "V" nickel in the same spot I found my 1901 last week. YOU DOG!
I won't tell you what year, but let's just say his is older than mine, and WAY better shape.
We worked the yard areas, a little in the woods by the old tenant house, and a flat enclosed horse area that used to be the farming area. The old CW road ran through this part. I had just started hunting it and I found the lead shot pictured. I signaled for Bob to come inside and told him about the old CW road. Folks, it wasn't two minutes after that I hear Bob yelling at me, "Come here, you won't believe it!" I'm not going to tell you what he found, but let's just say it's his oldest coin in his hunting career, and it blew my 1800's coin away by 100 years!!!
I was so happy for him, as it sure made his trip worthwhile. Here at "Club Miner" we aim to make all our guests happy and feel at home. ;D ;)
O.k., now for my finds:
*"F. Hoyt & Co. Perfumers - New York" early 1900's perfume bottle. I found this on the surface down by the dried river bed by the tenant house.

*A "Bull Durham" watch FOB with chain. Say's "Warranted 14K Gold Plated" on the back. 1940's I believe. I found one last year also at the farm down the road.

*No Date Buff nickel

*Two IH's - 1893 (Yeah, Baby) , and a 1906.

*Wheats- 1918 , 25 , 35 , 50.

*"Extra Colour" 19mm flat button. Circa early to mid-1800's.

*LEAD- Asst'd pieces that I could use some help IDing please.
-Hollow lead tube. Any idea what this is?
-Small round lead piece with piece attached to the back. CW? Any ideas?

*A very old 18th century lead-alloy button . It is approx. 28mm.
(Thanks Crusader for the ID)

*Toy legs from a ballerina?

*Spoon - Silver plated with "Wm. Roger's - Overlaid - IS" back mark. Age?

*Large iron "V" shaped piece with three indents by the hole. Looks like a tool of sorts.
Any idea?

*Harmonica reeds. Found by tenant house in woods.

*And last but not least, a beautiful 1921 Silver Dollar given to me from Mirage as a birthday gift & hospitality. I told you he was a great guy!!! ;D ;)
Thanks again Bob. It was great to finally meet you, and please come back anytime. Bring Nate with you next time too.
Thanks everybody,
MM

May be the bottom to a Thompson cleaner bullet. I have found several that separate from the main bullet. Bryan

Bottom of a Williams cleaner bullet. Yes it is CW era. Others look like pistol balls or small musketballs. I'm interested in seeing a close-up of the lead "tube." Maybe with something for scale?

Looks like you two had a Great hunt. Congratulations!!

Thanks Civil. Bob and I hit an area that gave up some old finds. Now I will have go back and grid it off, and work it slowly.
We found the lead ball, 1893 IH, early 1800's button, and Bob's "mystery find" in the same area.
This property has been around since 1779, so the 18th century button about has really got my hopes up now.
I have a LOT of ground to cover.
Good luck this week and thanks for the cleaner base ID.

It looks like you two fellas had a fun and great time hunting together.

I am betting that the mystery find is a Spanish wilver. ;)

Re: 1800's coin at my new site & My surprise hunting guest outdid me!!! L@@K

Man, another excellent hunt MM! What a sweet haul of relics. Glad Mirage could join you. It would be neat to find the rest of that ballerina. And that little perfume bottle is awful purty. So is the green grass, for that matter. :)

Keep digging!

Looks and sounds like it was a great hunt, Doug. You finally broke into the 1800's, just like I thought you would.

You're very generous for sharing your site with a fellow Tnet member. Can't wait to see what Bob found!!

Congrats,

Re: 1800's coin at my new site & My surprise hunting guest outdid me!!! L@@K

Doug,
I'll get my stuff posted tonight but what a great little trip down south. I really had a blast. You got a wonderful family (including inlaws ;D ) and it was as fun visiting with them in the evening as the metal detecting was. You know, I don't think your daughter is planning on going to the prom - she justed needed an excuse to get a dress! ;) :D

I was also impressed by the nice collection of relics you have. It's one thing seeing them in a post but it is another thing seeing them in person and as a collection.

So, do you get fresh baked muffins and bacon every Sunday morning? Mrs. Pappagiorgio might have some competition.

Finally, I'm glad I never saw that picture of you in the dress. I never would have came down! ;) ;D :D

Gypsy,
I was thinking the same thing. You think they could be Colonial possibly? Looks like the right attire for that era.
Thanks,
MM

Thanks Dan.
I don't mind sharing my sites to folks that are really into the hobby, and respect the property. I have so much land to cover at just three properties that I'll never get through it in this life. ;D
I'd do the same for you too if you ever make it over to this coast. Bob & his SE made the find of the day, and I'm happy for him.
Take care Buddy,
MM

Kirk,
Where have you been Man? I was starting to think you didn't love me anymore. :'( :'( :'( ;D
Hopefully Bob gets his post on tonight. I just he doesn't post a picture of me peeing in the bushes. :o
Bob made this trip solo this time, but Nate & Dan are surely welcome if they can ever make it down here.
My Mighty Tesoro is not afraid of the competition. ;D ;)
How you doing? You guys still snowed in up there?
