About 2:00 this afternoon I put up the last piece of metal roofing on my barn addition. My reward was to be time spent just up the road at one of my older spots. I have been hunting this spot for two years now. The finds are few and far between now but you can usually count on the finds being old. So far from this cellar hole I have found, THREE, Coronet Large Cents, ONE, Ships Colonies And Commerce Token, 1776 Spanish 1 Real, coin silver spoon and many Tombac buttons.
Today I took the time to kick arround a few pieces of wood and brush to hit some of the spots that are hard to reach. First signal was the iron ring, second was the piece of lead and the third was the 1829 Capped Bust Dime. The detail on this coin is awsome!! Must have been lost early in its life. Total time spent swinging was about 1-hour. Three targets dug and I will call this a good hunt:headbang:

Amazing find it would be hard to part with a beautiful piece such as that

Wow great find! That's just simply amazing! HH

Thanks for the Banner votes:icon_thumleft: I cant imagine that I will ever dig another Capped Bust in this condition! The funny thing is, this is only my 23rd silver coin in six years of detecting.

That's a beauty for sure.

You can't dig a better looking coin from 1829.

Here are a few more pictures to drool over. This coin was AU++ when it was droped:headbang:

VPR,
This one grabbed me. What a nice early U.S. coin. It is a real prize. I am glad for you.
