About 2:00 this afternoon I put up the last piece of metal roofing on my barn addition. My reward was to be time spent just up the road at one of my older spots. I have been hunting this spot for two years now. The finds are few and far between now but you can usually count on the finds being old. So far from this cellar hole I have found, THREE, Coronet Large Cents, ONE, Ships Colonies And Commerce Token, 1776 Spanish 1 Real, coin silver spoon and many Tombac buttons.
Today I took the time to kick arround a few pieces of wood and brush to hit some of the spots that are hard to reach. First signal was the iron ring, second was the piece of lead and the third was the 1829 Capped Bust Dime. The detail on this coin is awsome!! Must have been lost early in its life. Total time spent swinging was about 1-hour. Three targets dug and I will call this a good hunt
