Went to an old cabin site close to home was a corn field last yr. and this year it`s been to wet the plant so the late crop will be Buck Wheat planed real soon.
Picked up an 1830 Large Cent, small cal.round ball, lead seal, and some flat Gilt Buttons, and a little silver coin that i think is Spanish Silver and some iron.
Had a good time but it got real hot so i went into the woods and took a nap HH

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

is that a Half or a 1 Reale ? smaller and thiner than a dime

If it's that small, it's definitely a 1/2 real.

It has to be from the 1771 to 1825 time period, due to the bust on the front.

The Spanish coin has the profile of Carlos III (1750-1788) but during the early reign of Carlos IV (1788-1808) the bust of Carlos III was still being minted. What didn't change was the diameter of coins. The 1/2 real's diameter is 18 mm and that of the 1R is 20 mm.

Real nice finds! Congrats!
Looks like you found some ones string savings account!

A nap in this heat sounds like a good idea.

G.A.P. Metal,
You're welcome; and yes, the coin is composed of silver--either 0.9030 (between 1772 and 1784) or 0.8960 (between 1785 and 1790); which is also another way to reduce the year of mintage range without seeing the date.
Don.......

 good lookin' coins for sure
