[G.A.P.metal]

Went to an old cabin site close to home was a corn field last yr. and this year it`s been to wet the plant so the late crop will be Buck Wheat planed real soon.
Picked up an 1830 Large Cent, small cal.round ball, lead seal, and some flat Gilt Buttons, and a little silver coin that i think is Spanish Silver and some iron.
Had a good time but it got real hot so i went into the woods and took a nap HH

Congrats on two good coins and a nice "flower" button. The button dates from the same time period as your large cent.

Nice finds. I detected around Ithaca and Watkins for 3 years back in the 1990s when I was a student, and I never found spanish silver for sure. Barbers are relatively common finds up there, but Seated, Bust, and earlier coins are really scarce. People off to the east seemingly have it better with the earlier coins. I think I only pulled three large cents during that whole time.
