I found this pretty nice 1893 Barber Quarter today, along with a few wheats, in a patch of old woods between some Condo developments.
I hunted for about 2 hours, finding nothing but bullets, and as I started to work my way back to the car I got a nice silver sound. It was about 6 inches deep. I found the 2 wheats in the same general area a few minutes later.
It's in pretty nice shape. I just ran it under some hot water and used a little dishwashing liquid on it before I took the pics.
I'm trying very hard not to clean anything anymore!
Thanks for looking.
TBK.

Barber coins were minted from 1892 to 1916 so there is one that could be older.

Congrat's on the nice Barber Quarter! That's AWESOME!! I'm still waiting for my first Barber Quarter!

Thats a nice quarter. But I'm still in love with that beautiful piece of Spanish silver you found and made the banner with last year. :love4: I wish I could find a nice silver coin like that. Where the heck are they hiding? :dontknow:

That coin looks GREAT. Nice work on finding it and recovering it without scratches!
