Hi all !
Not exactly todays find, but recent.
took a little while to research, It is a souvenier whistle from the 1904 St Louis exhibition, probably an advertising tie in to the then new 'Whistle' soda.
It is actually a 'Develine' whistle dating from 1895
with a '1904 Worlds Fair Souvenier' stamp.
match about 2/3rds down this page: http://whistlemuseum.com/
Turbine inside still spins when you blow it, no sound though. :P
Thought it was just another lipstick when first dug.
Cool little find to go with the lead toys.
Thanks for looking

Very cool find Herbie!
Here's a page from a 1927 catalogue advertising "The Great Develine Whistle".

"1927 Antique Whistle Develine Ad
Original rare collectible catalog ad.
Johnson Smith & Co. Catalogue

Take care buddy!

That is definitely a cool little World's Fair relic/collectible

Don't know that it had anything to do with Whistle Soda though. Whistle wasn't introduced until 1925.

Thanks all !
Steve, I see wiki lists whistle originating in 1925, strange I grabbed that advertising pic from a 1904 worlds fair site.
'Don't believe everything you read' I guess :-[

That is a neat whistle. I have never seen one.
Congrats

That whistle is a cool  piece of History that would fall into several categories for Collectors ,
