19th Century Bermuda pendant

Appears to have a colonial ship on the bottom.A sun in the middle and it looks like it says Bermuda on the top..
Found it next to a 1877 seated liberty and a 1888 pennsylvania super highway pendant.
What the heeck is this..
Its rough and looks to be made of nickle...

I think maybe the design is similar to what is shown on a 1996 60 dollars commemorative coin. I think I can see the map in the middle and that would be a compass not a sun But I haven't figured out yet where that design originated. B/c your piece is certainly older than that.

Yes your right i can see the islands in the middle and the compass now..
It does say bermuda on the top and i can see one little piece broke off a little so it was probably for a necklace.

i tried to get more detail out of it using photoshop, but didnt get much. i can see that the symbol at the bottom is a ship but everything else was said already
