What material are the beads?
The one pendant may be a weeping heart.
(Marian medals have two hearts. )

those coins are nice even with the holes. I like the thought of it being some sort of homemade rosary of a sort.

i think this is one of your beads, the product description prob explains
why the beads look old, those types of beads are higher end, most times
no matter where you get them, they run for .75-1$ ea. these days.
back in my hippy jewelry making days the late 60s early 70s, they were
like 5 for a 1$, but there were cheaper thin knock off design patterns too
much cheaper,50-100 for a 1.50$
what type of cord strings yours together

Those beads in your link are all identical, all of mine seem to have unique hand tooling marks, many different sizes and paterns, you can see some beads soldered very neatly, some are also quite uneven shaped and deep beveled rims, seems like old hand work to me. I couldnt identify the rope myself. Its certainly not any type of new rope. Certainly not plated. Defenitly not antique brass or vintage finish , but a genuine antique with wear and patina.

I beleive it is an inca necklace perhaps a shamanic necklace with christian influence. Ive put most of my notes and observations in my photo, but heres a few more 1. Bracelet has 4, 200 year old coins from the mints of potosi and lima (Inca empire).
2.the coins are not clipped, and silver put into jewelry was not for the poor.
3. The crude jesus has wheat or grain under its arms.
4. Around jesus are the semi circles with circles inside, an inca symbol for " hidden/ covered.
5.the image of the heart is in inca style.
6. The heart has 3 circles, i havent seen that in christian art. The 3 circles could represent, the upper middle and lower worlds,(big part inca mytho)
7. 3 crosses. Again 3 worlds
8. Looks like a chakana cross! 3 stepped cross, inca cross.
9. The coins potrude outwards when worn, seems to be a native style.
10. The beads are all unique, with different hand tooling marks, and some so worn the tool marks are polished away.
10. Rope appears old.
11. The peice speaks to me and its telling me it is old and was significant.
12. Im thinking an inca or pirate gold, silver / copper mix.
? Do the seven segment circles, around the heart track weeks? Or a symbol i havent found yet it my short research.
? The number and placement of beads?
?significance of coins and placement

I agree that it is old, why use coins from the 1700's on new beads. The wheat under Jesus arms is the most compelling evidence to me.

First...
Try to find a strand of the "rope" you describe...
Remove / break a SMALL piece off...
Take a lighter... NOT a match and ignite in a controlled way...
Notice the burn...
Light and blow out... IF there is a "ember" or "glow" at the tip of ignited end then this says it is a "natural" substance / fiber ...
IF no glow no ember... and it "curls"....it will be a manmade petro substance...
NOTE the "smell"...
Don't inhale... just waft it around your nose and lightly observe it "aroma"...

Post results...
NOW with this completed... I know this does not date this for this could have been restrung at any time...
But can take a step forward in a direction.

Hi - I don't know enough to comment specifically on your necklace but I wanted to pass this along. These photos are from the book "Indian Trade Relics" (Lar Hothem) and they show that the Native Americans did incorporate Spanish coins in their necklaces.
