405 grams Sterling for $2

I picked up this Gorham Sterling serving dish along with a few pieces of silver plate at a local thrift store. This was $1.99 and weighs 405 grams.

The one that I am finding on ebay are 6 inches. This one is 12 1/2 long by 8 inches wide.

To be considered Sterling, the purity must be 92.5 % Silver. That piece is clearly marked Sterling. $177. is the melt value.
If you so that piece on Ebay, it would command much more than melt value. Excellent purchase.
