Well this wasn't found by me but found right beside me….Posting this as my detecting buddy is not on the forum and thought it was an amazing find in itself…honestly I thought he was pulling my leg, he kept saying there's more in the hole….this hunt is part of a 3 day hunt that we are doing and this being day one…I will post up my finds at the end of the 3rd day and I myself had a hunt I won't soon forget!!!!:headbang: He also managed this Victorian 25 cent coin….

It was also a miracle they axes were found, as that field literally had piles of burnt garbage dotted around it. At least it was on the surface!

I got a little preview of one of your finds. You guys must be almost ready to get back out there? Almost 11am!

I found a, "newer" one back in the late '90's and I thought it was pretty neat. Can't imagine how good you felt!!

That's cool as heck man! Wonder what the story is behind those being left together? Once cleaned up they'll make for an incredible display. Looking forward to your summary post after day 3. Good luck to you guys.

Just WOW! Never heard of that many turning up before !!

Beautiful find on the trade axes! :occasion14:

Quick, time for some electrolysis before they disintegrate!

That is fantastic. Unheard of. I always feel lucky to get just one and then they are far between. That is the best find I have seen in a while. Important time in our history. Needs to be on top

I got out for a minute today by myself, but the other guys had stuff to do so it's a three day hunt with a break haha.

Something about that time when we made contact and opened up trade with the Native Americans is such a small window in time. A friend recovered an item here from DeSoto. That is about as early as you can go with a metal detector short of hunting "Copper culture". You need to do an article and have them published.

Thanks Tnmountains and to all for my friends finds….this is really a great find by my friend and he's good with words so an article would only fitting…Although my iron finds the other day were not as "great" as his, they shall hold a candle to them…but I'll wait to post them at the end of the 3 days…had to skip yesterday however the hunt continues today and tomorrow…hopefully the finds come in like they did the other day!

A trader's hoard perhaps? Really cool find as far as relics go!
