Hey guys. Hit the Iceberg a little on Saturday. Found a few more good things in the area I worked last time. We also discovered a new area that started spitting out the wheats. I got 49 of em and 3 silver from the other area. Before we left, I noticed myself getting this bad stomach ache. I just ignored it, hoping it'd go away. Within 5 minutes, it got worse, and I finally just stopped and stood still..then i got real dizzy and all these black spots started coming until I could no longer see anything at all, but I could still talk. It was a good thing Dan was closeby to give me some food and drink and tell me to sit or I would've been out for sure. So yea, I'd just say be careful when you're hot and tired and hunting hard in the heat.

Hunted a bit yesterday too and picked up 3 old wheats (11, 16, 19) and my first v nickel of the year (1895) and a 1919 buffalo at a nearby site.
Here's the incredibly beautiful nickels ::) :

That place is full of good stuff! You guys are lucky!! :)

Notice how the nickels are giving each other the once over! As usual, the rest of the stuff is good too!

Another hot spot at the Berg, how cool, keep em coming Nate.
Sorry to hear about your yucky time. Are you feeling better now? Was it just the heat or something else? Take care man and thanks for the good lesson and advise. We get going hunting and sometimes don't think about keeping hydrated and taking good care of ourselves.

Smiles!

Exactly, the heat combined with working hard for hours and hours straight...some water and a quick sitdown did the trick. Thanks guys!

Always good to be with a buddy when out detecting........You never know when you may need a helping hand! Nice job again at that site. keep going back until the well runs dry! WTG

I just get an "iffy" good signal that I am going to dig and Dan calls over to me, "Bob, you better come. Nate's not well." So, I leave the potentially good signal and go over to see Nate laying against a tree. :P I have been there. Went out cold myself at the sight of blood. When I came to I could hear people talk but not see anything. Very much an out of body experience. ;D :D Just glad it was a "fainting spell" only. :)

Yea, you know it's time to eat, drink, and rest when everything starts going black whenever you stand up. Nice finds though.

Glad you're feeling better Nate. I wasn't too worried really because of your age and fitness level. Knew that if the old codgers like your Dad and I were still standing that a brief rest and some fluids would set you straight.
Nice coins too!

Nice digs Nate..glad to hear you're feeling better, I HATE hunting in the heat!

Take care,
Nat

Nate, good goin'. I know about huntin in the heat too. Got to stay hydrated. Very good spot and promising future.....

Great digs, Nate! A pile of coins like that would have made me feel faint, no matter the weather.

Let us know if you try the ketchup tip for the V.

Congrats on the finds! At least you learned something important, heat stroke can be serious. HH, Mike

Dude, it is nice to see you recover with metal detecting toughness. Thanks to Big D's high-quality H2O, you were able to find more wilver. 8)

Here's a few more pics of the one marble. I wasn't too sure of what to focus on, but the first two may be of more interest.

Thanks for the comments all!
