I picked up this scraper a couple days ago and it looked at first glance to be broken. I looked closer at it before it went into the "broke" box and to me it looks like the little tip was precisely flaked. I have scrapers with "graver" tips on them but this one is unusual. - or is it broken?

With multiple flakes taken off on both sides of the point, it looks like a very well made graver spur on that piece. I just love those things.

Beautiful little scraper that is a graver spur, these artifacts from the Dakotas are really interesting.
