A couple old coins but....trashed

Just me, but they look like regular pocket change coins I dig all the time, regular quarters, and a dime. I’m thinking the top coin maybe a wheat, or regular copper penny, under it looks like a dime because of the diameter looks smaller.. bottom coin is a zinc penny …
I have rolls of coins like this, but 6 months ago I bought a tumbler and put them in with water and soap and bbs and after a couple of hours they look almost new … you could try that

If it helps any, I can identify the bottom coin. It is definitely a corroded wheat cent. Date obliterated.

The top coin though, is pretty much the same circumference as a nickel. But seems to weigh less than one. 🤷‍♂️

I'll keep trying.

The very bottom coin in the picture of ALL the coins is clearly a corroded zinc penny, I can see The Lincoln Memorial and the eat up zinc along the rim.
If you’re talking about the TOP two coins and bottom one of those… maybe, clearly the top coin has a diameter bigger than the bottom one… but the top coin looks to be the same diameter as the Lincoln zinc cent on the bottom so I was figuring that the smaller one was a dime..
just me… I can’t see if the smaller one has a reeded edge so I can’t be sure… these are so corroded that it’s really just speculation looking at pictures.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This V Nickle is more significant to me than most. For, you see, it's been a *very* long time between my last coin from the 1800's to early 1900's!

I've been in a long drought! Just about given up on being able to turn one again. So, this is encouraging!

I just ordered some coin cleaning pencils. They are supposed to remove crud without lowering the value of a coin. Haven't tried yet but they have them on Amazon and not too pricy

Thanks, I know of them....but....IMLTTHO....*any* cleaning will be treated as less than valued by those "powers that be". Still, it's nice to have a presentable coin in one's colection.

Kinda surprises me that a V Nickel would degrade to this extreme. 🤷‍♂️
