Been doing pretty good. Got a real nice point ( Duval) that helped me type another from the same site."never would have guessed" Also wanted to correct the typology of a point from a few weeks ago..its a 3 5/8" Marion..but since it's a little different from the classic form could be called a Putnam since they are really the same. And some other goodies.

This is the other point in the photo of that big Marion..it got overshadowed by that find.
It looks like an Oleno to me.

Gator those are some awesome pieces!! What is the piece in the picture below the pipes and what would it have been used for? I like the two tone color of it, and the little "charm" hanging in the middle is neat.

That is a piece of a pottery pot with drill holes either as part of a repair or possibly to tie down a lid..some think they were for connecting handles but I usually see no evidence of wear from that.
The white piece is a small shell pendant.

Those are very nice finds. Thanks for sharing.

I thank you kindly.

Everyone likes those.. your welcome.

I forgot now but what tribes used these? I did some research a while back on them but I cant remember now.

I'm sure there is more but pretty much all Florida tribes.. Ais,Jega,Calusa,Timacua,..ect..
There was alot of trade in later periods so I'm sure they got around.

Creek was big in my area till the Cherokee ran them out to the south Ga.

Thanks small holes they were very talented

What a thrill it must be to find those.

It is.. I find alot of shark teeth..but when the context is right I'm always on pins and needles wiping one off to see if there is a hole.
