Any guesses on the hinge? My take is part of the mechanism on a tilting dirt / ore cart.

Must be all those skeptics tuning in to have a debate with the TV.
Nothing much of interest on that episode. At least they got a realistic guess for the metal spikes (crib spikes) as compared to roman spears... The old hinge does not show much really. No one disputes that people have been visiting Oak Island for a few hundred years at least. Does not seem treasure related.
The dives on the ocean bottom were pretty funny for any experienced divers watching. They were only in 25 foot of water. Why would they need a spare safety diver. That is about a basic a dive as you can get. I do not even know why they were diving with two tanks. They must of only been down for 15 minutes or so. The rules on what they can touch in Canada seem over the top. If not even allowed to move a rock.. I see they did not even bother diving at the 'vents' even though they are now saying these could be flood tunnel entrances. This is quite possibly the most ridiculous speculation they have made about the money pit. There is no way someone from hundreds of years ago tunneled up under the water to make a flood tunnel and they know it... Still all they found was a couple of rocks...
I am surprised they have not even tried to get the wood on the 'slipway' dated. That would seem like a good start to finding how old it is.
Really disappointed that the rest of the dye test results were never shared. That was a pretty pathetic effort of tracing the water to the money pit area.
Overall nothing new added this episode really

Or strip mine the cove...Agreed. They can't physically touch anything on the bottom yet it's OK to drag a Danforth anchor from the dive boat.
Show seemed filled with excuses why they could not dig. Not sure where that is headed. No digging in ocean, no digging in money pit area. No digging undisturbed areas, does this include the treasure vault and the french drains if they ever find them.
https://www.oakislandcompendium.ca/...llapse-the-mysterious-death-of-maynard-kaiser it is speculated that his body was never recovered from the shaft.Despite exhaustive research, an official record of Maynard Kaiser’s death has never been found. There is, to date, no record of a grave site existing for Maynard Kaiser anywhere in Nova Scotia.
HOW could anyone know about a legend/story of slaves being buried in the pit. What is that based on?
Yet another 3 Stooges like episode (albeit Larry, Curly, and Moe had more talent to entertain).....finding yet more ”COMMON” items associated with common human activity for hundreds of years. I finally thought Jack Beagley was going to burst out laughing after a gawee statement but the camera cut away......
The hoax continues while the writers and actors continue the re-hash the same lines over and over, some from episodes years ago......
lol... What have they found that would be considered "A find of a lifetime" All they have found is junk and a few near worthless coins...A lot of the metal detecting finds there would be considered the find of their lifetimes by experienced metal detection people,...
