A Very strange find from last night, devil head or something racist?

My wife dug this up last evening nearly at dark, she was excited at finding something old and yet wasn't quite sure as to what it actually is. It has pointed ears which sorta points maybe to a devil and yet other traits make me wonder if it had something to do with racism. What do you think it is? It appears to be made out of a hard lead as it is pretty heavy. It was pretty much the best find of the evening as we killed pull rings and various iron mixed with clad. In the darkening light and still covered with dirt, it was hard to tell exactly what she had. It is about 2" tall and about 1 5/8" wide, 3/8" thick at thickest point. It looks like it was broken off of right below the collar, like it was even bigger or part or possibly a body.

No please Mount Rushmore already freaks me out as it is! I've never understood why so I'm thinking maybe it's just the size/scale of it? With that up there I would definitely know why! Besides the fact that it would never match Gutzon Borglum's work.

Obviously a devil of some sort.
