Advice on buying a detector..

Thank you guys very much for all the great advice.

I will keep researching on them before buying....and for what I see...everyone likes different detectors and it´s a good fight between the T2, AT Pro and F75. As I could see, so far, I would not be disappointed by any of them, as long as I put myself into learning the detector and fully understanding how it works...

I´ll check more reviews and see if I can find a great deal...

Kpixaba, It is best when buying a new metal detector with warranty to make sure they are an Authorized Dealer for whatever brand your wanting to buy and you can can even go to the manufacturers website to verify that they are an Authorized Dealer. As far as that T2 you were looking at for $400.... There is 3 red flags 1. It is green just like the standard T2(you cant buy those new anymore) 2. Selling it new for $400(even if the person was an Authorized Dealer, which there not, they would be losing money on that sell. 3. Teknetics is manufactured in Texas so beware of International seller selling to the US. Teknetics has already replied my message stating that those were fakes and they would be reporting it.

As for the MD choice, I've been giving it some thought and due to rain conditios and the fact that, I might be detecting on beaches as well, I'll highly considering the AT Pro or the AT Gold. I've found some great small islands near a place I use to live, with some old fortress and stuff like that....so I'thinking one that is waterproof is best suited...

Now I just need to find a great deal on this....and find someone that would ship it to Brazil.

Teknetics, Garrett and Minelab and Coiltek are finding poor quality copies coming from China. That is one reason some brands now have holographic stickers on the boxes now.

Good advice on the stickers only problem I c there is how can u c those from pics & rarely pics of boxes r shown ya know my advice is brand name detectors & there r enough real good vendors on here to buy from with quality real ones & these guys stand by there stuff which makes buying from them great good job Wayne ur a great example of good vendor to buy from honest questions answered good reveiws good products what more could u ask for.
