Do you know how many dollar signals I've gotten over 20 years detecting? Enough to give me trust issues, that's how many.

This last Sunday, the dollar signal was a actual silver dollar! Poorly struck, but in decent condition. It's a 1900S. Sorry for the crappy photos.

This was my first silver coin with my new Manticore. Not much of a test as it was only 4-5" deep.

They don't have to be deep to be good! Congratulations!

GREAT FIND :) NICE STORY Thank you for sharing with us.

That's awesome. Besides a gold coin of course, a Morgan has been on my digging wish list since I first started 50 years ago. Still haven't found one though. Big congrats to you!

That is one big beautiful piece of US silver. Congratulations on finding your first silver dollar!!!!

Thanks for the replies! Here are a couple more pics with the loose dirt rinsed off.
It's entirely up to you but if you do decide to clean the Morgan ...
I've cleaned several badly iron stained Silver coins with a short soak in a Electrolysis Bath.
Or you could take it to a Coin Shop and have them dip it in "Coin-Solve" or similar.

personally, I wouldn't touch it. It has a lot of character and looks like a dug silver coin should look!
