An Eagle Breast Plate Kind Of Day

Got out for a few hours today to a spot I’ve hunted many times in the past. I dug a few bullets, and then nothing for over an hour. I dug a shotgun shell and next to it I get a deep reading that I figured was junk, but I decided to dig it anyhow. Glad I did because out pops this eagle breast plate. Unfortunately I dinged the edge of it, I guess you can’t win them all. Relic hunting is a lot like life, never give up because you never know what’s just around the corner.

Wouldn't think it would clean up that nice! Nice job on digging deep and super job cleaning that up.

I was surprised as well, other than the chip at the bottom edge, the face is in really nice shape.
