Spent another 5 1/2 hours in the woods today. The Explorer was humming again, finding those deep old coins. Came up with 8 silvers and 22 Wheaties, among other things.

Probably the best was this Barber Quarter, another 1909:

Next -- 3 Barber dimes, '05, 08-D and '13:

Next -- 3 Mercury dimes, 1916 (sorry no D), 1934 and 1943:

Other things, including a key, a gold plated ring (1/20 14K), another 1907 Indian Head and another 1943 silver War Nickel:

Man, that's an awful lot of fine old silver for one day!! What a buzz it must've been.

I need to find a site like that. The heavily-hunted local amusement park site got me a coupla tent stakes.

The '08-D and '13 Barber dimes are particularly excellent!

Sweet find. Just out of curriosity, why does it seem like woods have some many coins hidding in them? :icon_scratch:

Awesome Bob! Real nice silver! That place just keeps producing. I'm sure there is more. Good luckwith it!

Man! That place would become my personal amusement park (with detector in hand.) There is bound to be more. Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!

Very cool . Way to go!

Whoa! Sweet site you got there!
I'd clean it all out fast if I was you!

Bob,

Four Barbers is amazing!! I can't help but think there is more hiding in those woods.
