Asbestos

I was wondering if natural occurring Asbestos had any relationship with gold deposits.. I would appreciate any information regarding this I have had difficult time coming up with information..

In about '62, my stepfather found virtually pure asbestos on his land in SW Virginia near Danville. Sent it in to the gov, and came back AB.

AB went South, and no gold ever found.

Vic..Look up Serpentine Deposits...in our area...Contacts with The slates, serpentine(source of asbestos locally)and Quartz are a sought after thing.

we have a huge ex asbestos mine right about 1 mile from where I sit,but no major gold right in that vicinity,but I know Dave Wiseman located an undiscovered bit of asbestos within eye sight of one of the richest(gold)mines in Calif.....

This is a good question as I have located a vein of crystal that appears to have asbestos in also. I dont want anything to do with asbestos, so is there a solid form that forms in crystals?

I sit right on top of an area chock full of serpentine out croppings and Gold bearing quartz veins....like most minerals the asbestos will be present in several forms, when you buy a home around here you are notified of its presence...funny thing is serpentine is also quarried and used for driveways and landsscaping.. DRIVEWAYS, and your supposed to avoid the dust....seesh

I have a Prospect that had Asbestos Rolled over (in serpentine) copper pyrite gold and silver deposit.. yet I avoid it at the moment... Dust bad!
