Back to reality today..... Oh well.....

I've been hitting dimes so good lately, I was beginning to get cocky. Today cured that! I picked up $195 in mixed CWR and MWR. Skunkaroo, oh well, I was due for the stinky guy.

On a more positive note, I was dumping some dimes today and chatted up the lady who helps me when the coin counter needs a new bag etc. We noticed the half dollar bag was getting pretty close to full. I asked if she would sell it to me, and she said you bet! I'm getting a box of halves next week, and will dump at my CU to fill up this bag. Then who knows? She said it's been in there forever! Looks like it's got about $750 to $800 in there.

Wish me luck. I haven't scored a bag since 2011. I'm hoping this one is loaded with all sorts of goodies.

i have yet to find a bank willing to sell me bags off of the coin machine, then again, the bank I dump at refuses to sell bags off the machine as a company policy.

I've only found one bank in my area that has a coin counter, and they won't sell the bags either. I talked to the head teller at that branch and she said they haven't changed the halfer bag in over 3 months, since she transferred to that branch. That means that no one is dumping there on a regular basis. I'd love to get my hands on that bag! (nh)

I've tried to purchase bags from credit unions before, which are the only banks around here that have counters. Instead of having a customer buy the bag and save them some money, they HAVE to pay fees and send it out to be rolled. Makes perfect sense, right?

we should all just be coin distributers - make a little extra coin selling rolls to business.
