Bad Start in 2007, Broke my Detector, still works,heres what I found

The first hunt of the year started with the Police being called on me for M D 1-5-06

Then today started off by me tossing a small screwdriver across the garage on to my work area, only it didn't hit my bench. Instead it hit,
I'll give you 1 guess. Yep my Metal Detector. What a disappointment that was to see happen before my very eyes.
It still works but it does need to be repaired.
At first I thought I would be using the back up XLT.
Still went out and hunted a while. Took my mind off it for a while.
I didn't find any Silver but I got 12 Wheaties 1916 1919 1927 1929 1936 40 thru 58 the rest
Also got $ 2.44
and a bunch of junk


Any Idea on what a new display will cost....??

My screen looks like that also. Dont remember how I did it. Dont worry about the LCD just get a new clear cover to put on it to keep the water out. The clear screen is just a sticker that will peel off and a new one will go right back on. I say dont worry about LCD because it is quite $$$ and the machine will still work fine the way it is.

If it was your B H it would have gone through it and disabled it. My Whites XLT is like a TIMEX it took a licking and it's still ticking.

Maybe it's his point..If the scewdriver diden't get any damage after hitting such a (good) detector!
