WOW!

It really is a jungle out there.

Those guys are working for their gold.
Looks Like the boss has deep pockets and the guys are getting paid to work.

And of course drama seems to be what the producers want to showcase.
But those nuggets were impressive for just panning.

The sunken excavator was also a telling of the real dangers involved. That's one thing they dont have to script.

In these cold months I obviously have to much time on my hands. I yet again and sat thru another episode!! I honestly thought nothing could get worse than gold rush then came jungle gold and I don't even watch that has nothing to do with mining just hustling. And then their came Bamazon I'm just not going to comment on that show!! I think I'll wait for the Beiring sea gold in January and hopefully the Lazy Gators are back at it, but I doubt it as they actually showed pride and dedication and problem solving in their work!! Something I respect greatly! But I fear the masses are much more interested in addiction, fighting, needless drama ect.ect.. So I guess I'M just SOL..

Jeff you can watch the full episodes right now at: Bamazon — History.com Videos

Thanks Gg !

I just watched the last episode on my DVR. was rerun last night.

I've seen worse programs , so will give it at least another episode or 3 before deciding.

what frustrates me is things like grown men of the 20th. / 21st. century
using old style pans, just because their on camera in the Amazon.
this tells me they are there to be paid to be on camera, not to find gold.
If they wanted to find gold, they would have plastic pans with traps.I'm sure

surprised they even broke a detector out.

another thing, the guy crying on camera he was alone & lost :tongue3:
Minimum he had a cameraman with him, odds are he also had a director,
Light man, Medic & snipers in case of animal attack behind the cameraman

Which also reminds me of the guy crying dehydration. they claim to be alone,
But I bet if the Medics say he needs Evac a chopper will have him out to a
fully equipped hospital within 20 minutes.

My guess the snakes, Howler Monkeys, etc, on film were stock footage that will be used regularly also

but as I said was entertaining enough to give me something to watch on occasion

Tonight's episode:
One Way Out

With the mission at a standstill, boss man Tim Evans leads the Bama boys on a journey up the perilous Cuyuni River in a last-ditch effort to rescue their 24-ton excavator and save their fortune.

Doesn't sound to me like any mining takes place
Just another episode of trouble with equipment :dontknow:

GG~

Well the excavator made it to the claim, so maybe next episode will finally show some mining.

Is it me or is the audio all messed up on this show? Whenever boss man is talking the audio gets weird.

well, it kept my attention, I didn't delete in the middle :laughing9:

why do all these shows push everything to the wire though ?

supposedly only a month left & no digging yet ?
so what happens next season ? they decide to move to another spot,
take most of the season futzing around again & wait till the end to start digging again ?

if I was the producer, there would be no wasting film on them playing around.
I'd say call us when your there & digging, I'll send the crew to
film you's then.

You think maybe a pair of mini excavators would have been a better choice to get started? Oh wait! Drama! Never mind.

At least last nights episode showed them digging :tongue3:
And they even found a quartz vein that seemed to be loaded with gold.

But the show was 99% crap and only 1% mining :BangHead:

after this show I have my doubts they are Roughing it in the rain forest.

17 Minutes in What do you see as he walks away?

Sorry my camera won't do better on the TV screen

but that's not a native unless Sheena Lives

Hahahaha, too funny

We've all lived the reality of chasin' the gold. Watching it scripted on TV is why it's like grit in the teeth.

All the best,

Lanny

I believe the producers believe once they find gold, the show will become boring, and the ratings will drop.

Building suspense is what these shows are all about. Most miners would enjoy watching the day to day wrestling of gold from the ground, but I bet we are in the minority of viewers.

DVR it.....skip to the good parts.:icon_thumleft:

I must be getting old I totally missed that :tongue3:

I'm getting old & I caught it :laughing7: I find myself looking around the men at the back rounds
more & more on these shows. it is very odd if it is a woman,
they didn't edit her out.
I would think that could cause trouble with at least one wife or GF.
looks like all she's wearing is a shirt.
(or is that a 1 piece bathing suit & coverup hanging open ? or negligee ? )
Of course 1% says she's not there & it's a trick of the light & shadows :dontknow:

Wouldn't it be great if the director on one of these shows just showed a great find in the 1st episode. I would just like to see the crew go out and strike it big in the 1st week. It's really funny how they turn prospecting in a soap operas. " Next season we will find out who done it" But I'm probably asking too much. We probably just need to leave it up to the producers to tell us what is actual reality.
However the last Bamazon show where the tree almost struck the lead guys crew... That guy is an idiot. The owner or project manager needed to be much more sensitive to the concern of is men. Yes I understand he has a lot of money involved! But he needs to think of the mental stability and security of his team before he is concerned about offending someone in foreign territory. May I respectfully say simper fi.
Happy hunting guys may 2013 be a blessed year God allows his people to harvest gold from them dar mts!

No sign of the blond in last nights episode. No sign of the show getting any better either :tongue3:

GG~
