Can anyone recommend a metal detector for ocean beach hunting? I am trying to keep it under $300.00 if possible.

Looks like your detector budget got a boost, huh? You can get a good used Excalibur with a sand scoop for under $1000. As for new, the Garrett AT Gold and the Fisher 1280x will work also but not as well in my opinion.
