I love seeing little ones out there. My last trip to EF, I met two guys who had brought their maybe 6-9 year old boys along. Kids were happy as clams feeding dirt into sluice and skipping rocks.

Yep, I have a 2" backpack dredge hanging in the garage with his name all over it. Hopefully he'll get a chance to use it.

I took my two boys prospecting when they were young too. It was a fantastic way to get in some male bonding time. One of them still loves to go. The other goes, but he's not as excited about it as the other one.
