Hello everyone,
I was hunting in the woods behind some US military housing in Germany and found this button. I have no idea what it is, the age, etc. Any help would be awesome!

Thank you in advance,
Jake

I haven't cleaned the back of it yet. It looks kind of fragile and it's covered in gunk. :icon_sunny: I'll try to clean it up and post another picture. thank you very much for the help!

yup you found a signal corps branch dress button.

If you had found an Engineer button it might be worth something but signal...............probably nothing!

I'll be sure to post more. Germany is full of endless treasure. SO much history everywhere here. Too bad I leave in a year and a half.

awesome find  congrats !

Hey, you didn't find that button at Kelly Barracks, near Stuttgart, did you? That is were I was stationed in '67 with a
signal corp.

Nice find and Welcome to Treasurenet.

Yeah, I was in Hanau in the late 70's.. Which housing did you get that from? What city ? What units are stationed there ( it may not be WW1 ). That should tel you a bit more.

Welcome to Tnet.

1.5 years. Loads of time, should get at least 150 roman coins in the fields.

I found it behind Vogelweh housing, a housing base near Ramstein, Miesau, and Rhine Ordinance Barracks. There is also tons of live rounds, shell casings, and coins out there too. I'll post with more pictures of the neat finds!

hmmm thats a good question... I have no idea, but I'm going to look into it!

Get out of the base & into them fields before they plant the next crops!

If I only knew how to ask for permission in German it would be so much easier to get in the fields where the good stuff is :)

Dang man - get out there and meet some locals! Help with some farming and you'll be good to go!

Live rounds laying everywhere sound extremely dangerous to me. Be very careful and dig the goodies!! HH and be safe Tom
