🥇 BANNER cache of 8 reales!

[RelicMedic]

Hey guys! Knocked the top right off my.wish list with this one. Previously I couldn't find an 1800's silver if my life depended on it, but man, did that change! So pumped lol. 1807 Spanish 8 Reale!!

[GioTheGreek]

The master of the ocho reales. You are now master of all 1800's silver!

Congrats, man.

Edit: You got my vote.

[metalmilitia]

sweet find

[RelicMedic]

OMG thank you guys so much for the banner votes! The only size comparison I have is a Canadian 1 dollar coin, which is about the same size as a half dollar.

[RelicMedic]

Here's a couple pics of it cleaned up (tin foil, boiling water and baking soda)

Well, if you had to wait on 1800's silver, at least you got a really sweet one when it finally showed up.

Congrats on the 8R. That had to a big thrill digging that one!

[RelicMedic]

It was an.awesome feeling Steve!! I had no idea that it was even a coin at first. Once I flicked it out of the side of the hole and saw what it was, all I could do was laugh hysterically! I was so happy! I can only hope that I have another moment like that, and that you guys get to experience the same thrill when you find one!

[huntsman53]

Congrats on a really nice find! That one really came close to getting you into 1700's finds, so I would bet that a 1700's coin is in the near future.

Killer find Ace! I found my first 1700s silver a couple weeks ago and was acting like a ill school girl :-) this is super embarrassing but I dug a 1782 2 reale and a seated dime right off the bat. About an hour later I snuck over and looked in my keeper case just to make sure they were still there and they were actually real. I know I'm an idiot lol

[RelicMedic]

Lol. I do the same thing! I immediately stopped the hunt and went home to look.at it lol

Oh thank god! I thought I was the only idiot :-) there's 2 of us lol

[RelicMedic]

Nope...You're not the only one lol

[screwynewy]

You really should give this find a proper thread title. Somehow Huge silver just doesn't do it justice. I want to see this one up top!

[jewelerguy]

most awesome. congrats! hope it cleans up well

[RelicMedic]

That's as clean as I'm gonna try to get it. I can't change the subject of the post unfortunately. You're right tho, I should have submitted a better title

[Gridwalker306]

Good grief!!! That is just amazing, talk about being on cloud nine! Congrats to you!
