Hi there,

New to this, so try not to laugh if it's just a round stone lol.

I was walking along the beach and found this, it's 47mm in diameter and weighs 4oz.

Location is the Thames estuary, Southend on sea. There is a 17th Century shipwreck close by (the London) and also Hadleigh Castle - built in 1215 close by to the beach where I found it.

Was just wondering if it could be cannon shot? I've been living here for years now and have never seen anything similar on the beach so thought I'd ask.

Many thanks,
Ryan

Yes, it very well could be. Don't toss it. Some have been found in Florida made of the coral native to the area.

I should also mention that there also used to be a castle on the opposite side of the estuary too Screenshot_20210323-125811_Chrome.jpg
