I'm 51, not 15. Don't know where you got that idea.
I said I was done posting here but I had to one more time. Here goes.
What a bunch of self-righteous arrogant entitled posers you are. I get criticized for a post I made and then the accusers do the same. Attacking a new poster at that! I know, you don't see it as an attack but it was. It sure wasn't a welcome!
I'm hearing all this selfishness about not wanting more competition. Well guess what! Most of you are the competition us "oldtimers" didn't want several years ago! How about that! You come on the forum and post your finds, yet for some reason don't think that causes competition. Of course it does!
Earlier this year there was a post where someone questioned my posting and knowledge because I didn't have anything posted in my totals in my signature. How crazy is that. Guess why I don't show my totals anymore. Go look at the annual finds forum in years past and you can see I did well.
Anyway, nobody from the old crowd would have reacted this way to a new member. You've even taken to making fun of him on other topics. That mentality is why I believe alot of you are children posing as adults. Nothing wrong with kids on the forum. That's how new collectors are born. To come here and ask the questions. This is the" coin roll hunting forum ". It's not just about the silver. The forum has become just a bunch of children that are acting just like that, children. No decorum. Just people acting like rappers and trying to convince the new guy the double clipped coin he has isn't real like he is an expert.
Myself and the other oldtimers used to have serious conversation on this forum. They have all left. The decorum has change. I wonder why?
Out!
homie virtual Paul's videos might suck really bad but afterwards to ease the pain we watch the ducks and smoke hookah.Virtual Paul's YouTube videos are terrible. I hope everyone on YouTube watches them and NO ONE new will want to do this. I'd rather watch Elmo or Barney than his lousy videos.
You should have stayed quiet - you just sound like a bitter old man telling kids to stay off his lawn. sad really.
Merry Christmas.
can we watch the ducks while we eat skunk??GET OFF MY LAWN!!! But seriously, there is not a scenario where I would willingly aid in attracting some random person to CRHing...that is pretty much idiotic. End of the day I think its cool how people on here are knowledgeable and do manage some pretty cool finds but when it comes down to it, I rather you all eat skunk and I get 200 keepers a box. Deal?

Greedy.
Smoking the hookah can make a 15 year old appear 51. Perhaps it is well known, that everyone on this site (cept me) is addicted to tobacco via hookah now. Odds are, Omega saw you in a bank, and thought, "oh man, the hookah and coin roll hunting really made enamel7 look old".
I made the opposite mistake, I saw what on the outside appeared as a 50-somethin year old man, and walked up to him and said, "It's nice to see kids have good hobbies like CRH'n my man, but you need to quit the hookah out". He said who are you calling me a kid buddy, I'm not one of those hookah addicts"

this is a teenager in 2011 before the hookah. 2012 on the right after the hookah.
2011 looks about 15. 2012 looks about 51.
Keith just turned 70 last week! I hope I am still going like that at 70.

Greedy.
If you are into fishing and you know of a killer spot where fish just jump into your boat, are you going to do a youtube video showing everyone where it is? If you are into stamp collecting are you going to tell the world about the antique shop that sells precious stamps at 1/2 their value?
Coin collecting and CRH can both be very greedy hobbies. Do a google search for greedy hobby and you will see another coin forum come up talking about how coin collecting can be greedy. We can also be very friendly. We share in each others successes, give pointers to each other, and feel the big disappointments. We also band together when we see threats to our hobby like people posting videos, banks trying to impose fees, and new hunters not following the unwritten rules (of how to not get cut off in a week). We want there to still be a hobby in 10 years - and more and more people coming into the fold does NOT help anyone.
People who don't already fish or who are not considering taking up fishing are not reading or watching you tube videos about fishingI highly doubt a persons youtube video that has 100 hits is really a threat to coin roll hunting. There is so much information out there about it already. If someone googles coin roll hunting these forums show up and all they have to do is read. By that theory there should be no forums dedicated to this and we should all communicate in the form of private messages. As a previous poster stated it takes a fair amount of dedication to be a coin roll hunter or a love of the sport. Most people lack the stamina or commitment to drive all the miles burn all the gas tie up all the cash to find a few dime worth $1.04 each. I am sure everyone here realizes its not a get rich quick scheme it is a hobby. If a mans video sparks someone to take up the hobby so be it. People are leaving the game everyday and everyday some kid finds his grandpa's stash of silver half dollars and goes and buys candy with them. the numbers while not as plentiful as in the past are there. This is not a easy game to play and requires commitment. I say let people see a video and go for it. I doubt they will hang around. On another note I wish you all a Happy Holiday season no matter what you observe and hope all your finds are good for the year to come. Dr C.[/QUOTE
Recreation fishing is a 115 billion dollar a year industry. Believe me people are watching and you do have to be very careful with you spots. Trust me I know. HH

probably sneaking in cocain or worse... Hookah115 billion cause "recreational fishermen" traffic drugs from the Caribbean/Columbia. You dont need a yatch to fish, I knew how to fish when I was just a boy. people say they do, so it gives them an excuse to traffic without looking suspicious.

My point was people who don't fish or aren't thinking of fishing are not watching YouTube fishing videos.
