CLASSIC MALE DILEMMA

Ya know Jeff, if you drank a better quality beer it wouldn't have to be so cold to taste good...

He said, "Classic male dilemma."

That must have meant;

hummmm.... a romantic evening with a beautiful sensuous talking woman or a quiet night with a cold beer or 12?

I think his fridge quit being cold or the woman kept talking- and talking- and talking- and talking- and talking....

The best idea is to quit drinking. You will save a great deal of money and maybe even live longer. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Beer is actually healthy, and as Dean Martin stated, "Why would anyone quit drinking? THAT is the best you'll feel all day!"

My dear old dad drank 8-10 beers a day since he his teens, and honestly...I never remembered him missing a single day from his 40 hour jobs, ever. I asked him once about that and he said, "Well Martin(that's me), that's why I always called it my medicine." Dad buying 10 cases at a time for the home stock was a regular event for the decades I lived with and around him. I believe he had a great quality of life over his lifetime with his enjoyment of the suds.

Back in a few. Gotta run to the frig. martin

I've never heard of ammonia as a refrigerant. However, I need a full sized one for my beer supply.
Ammonia systems are actually more efficient than freon but it is also very deadly and more expensive to repair. Our chillers at my work are ammonia systems. The old airstream camper I briefly owned had an ammonia refrigerator in it also.

what was the problem?

there are a couple of air vents between freezer and fridge that were clogged with ice. Supposed to be frost free ( so much for a 50 year old claim!)

Yeah, it probably had nothing at all to do with the frozen decomposing 48 year old mouse in the vent...

Yes, as Fletch 88 replied, ammonia is used as a refrigerant. Ammonia has been used as a refrigerant since the 1800s. I did a little research a little while ago. Fletch 88 is right, it is a great refrigerant, a deadly gas, and expense when repairs are needed. What I didn't get into while reading, was that a lot of the ammonia in the refrigerators today are using synthetic ammonia. I didn't read far enough to see how much difference it makes.

I was told if I ever smell ammonia when entering chiller room to turn and run like hell, because it would kill you in a few seconds of inhaling it.

guess I'll have to relocate the bodies..

do a better job than this guy ... he didn't hide this one very well, just shoved it in a barn
