Clear wrapped Brinks boxes of dimes not producing

I've been doing about a $1000 in dimes a week and not getting much of anything. I have been picking up the Brinks boxes because I like the clear rolls, but I am now thinking the tellers have culled the supply by cherry picking. I now have had two tellers show me a stack of dimes that they "purchased" for their own collection. 6 boxes of skunks in a row seems too high for dimes. Is anyone having luck with Brinks dimes?

I personally hate the clear plastic wrapped rolls. Out of all the dimes I've searched, probably 2-3 silver dimes have come from those clear wrappers.

If your Brinks boxes are not sealed shut, then tell them to shove em, they are cherry picking them before you get to see it. Find another branch or bank to order from, and when you leave let the vault manager know why you don't want them anymore, or if she is the cherry picker, let the VP or President know why you would rather bank elsewhere. I am sure somebody doesn't like that their tellers are being paid by the bank to sit around and look through change to fill their pockets even more.

I can confirm that tellers are very good at culling from Brinks. I have an old pickup bank that uses brinks and a teller there was finding and selling me dimes and quarters almost monthly. Very easy for them to cull. HH

they are very easy to search. you could search a box in minutes! so u could search going from bank to bank!

I used to hate the clear rolls, but I have found silver in them. If you're getting considerably less than average per box, it's quite possible one of the tellers is culling them. If so, switch pickup banks, or even just branches. And as said above, make sure that the boxes are sealed when you pick them up.

In my area doesn't matter much. Chase is the only bank using brink that I go to. I find about one per box but that is what I find in the others as well.

I live in an area where all I get our paper wrapped rolls. However I visit relatives in Illinois a few times a year and when I go to the banks they all have brinks and the clear wrap rolls.

What I noticed when buying dimes there was the tellers had the rolls on the trays and hundred dollar increments. That was the last time I ever bought a box that wasn't sealed as I brought over $1000 on those open trays and got skunked.

All the boxes I bought that were sealed yielded the same types of results I have in my area with the paper wrapped rolls. My conclusion is that the Brinks boxes are no different than the results you would get from paper wrapped rolls if the box is sealed. The first thing I would do if you order boxes is to check the paper seal at the top. If that seal is broken I absolutely would not accept that box.

With those clear wrapped rolls it only took me 2 to 3 minutes to search through an entire box. Tellers could have a field day if they were searching for silver and opening those boxes.

95% of the Brinks boxes I've done in my area do not yield, vs String/son boxes in which yield close to 100% of the time. My theory is that Brinks services Coinstar machines in the area, which reject silver.

Zero, as others have said, you are getting sniped by those greedy tellers. If you aren't getting sealed boxes, get a new pu bank. As annoying as it is to find out tellers are sniping, knowledge is power and now you know to move on. I've running into those clear rolls twice now and they did produce for me. Good luck.
