Cobs found in jan. 1733 treasure fleet

before mounting and after mountingsmall half or one reale not surelow tide heavily encrusted cob. I will post a pic of this cob after preservation it is dated 1732. I have to take a pic. I havent figured out how to rotate these pics. Sorry I need some help/advice.

Well tom hit it right on the head. STORM BEACH EROSION. coins dribbiling out of the sand as it erodes.

What was your total coin count on days like that ? Like were you getting a lot of clad, and/or USA old coins as well on those days ?

To answer tom in ca, ya usually I end up with a handful of coins like these. I have found some nice silver coinage like Mercury's, standing liberties, barbers, etc. But most of it is usually modern coinage thats half rotted after a week in the water. I have found a lot of gold and silver and platinum jewlery over the years. I will post more pics of other things in the future. Im slowly learning to navigate this site its my first day and a bit challenging. I have cigar boxes of coinage like this. My son thinks its great. Its all treasure to him. Maybe ill re bury it some day. I gather a lot of aluminum and trash too. Its not all glory like the money shots. Determination and putting in time does pay off in the end. I cant figure out how to like someones finds yet its driving me nuts!!
