hello again, I found what I believe to be a coin a while back (bottom left )and cant seem to figure out what it is, its the one with the small box shapes around the rim, also, what is the coin on the top right that seems like its very old, please help. 005.webp

Your bottom left "coin" looks like a button, but we need a look at the back to be sure.
Your top right is a fantasy Reale coin.

Looks like you had a good hunt though

We did thanks. it's not a button , the back is smooth.
my daughter found that fantasy reale, she'll be pleased to know what it is, thanks a lot. I thought it was counterfeit.

Why is the coin a fantasy piece??. A bit more information and pictures would help. The coin looks like to have the correct colour of a dug silver.

Silver Searcher,
I could very well be wrong (and often am), but if you look closely at the bottom of the Reale you can see where (or what looks like) the plating is coming off and showing the Zink?? core.

Mike,
I've seen similar pieces to your bottom left coin. Knowing now that the back is smooth I would say it is a game piece. Say for checkers or something.

Thanks for the replies, Yes the Fantasy Reale does have the plating coming off. You can imagine the look on my face when my daughter Emma called me over.
As for the other coin, a game piece does make sense, thanks gain people, love this forum.

Hmmm maybe, but I would still like to see a picture of both sides.

It's the back of the coin , at least I thought it was, on the left. It's very heavy for a button, about 2mm thick but I could be wrong.

Looks like the remains of a shank on back. Some buttons were pretty large. Overcoat buttons, etc.

I'm talking about the coin in the top right of the picture, the other one in the bottom left is a button.
