First couple of pics are my 2010 finds from an early site here in Kentucky including 2 half reales (1747, 1781) and a couple pieces of eight. I finally was able to get back to the site this past weekend for a few hours. I used a smaller coil to pick through the iron and was able to pull out a 1778 2 reale. I need to break out the sifter on this site. The belt axe has a makers mark of "S" on the side. Any info on it would be appreciated. Thanks for looking. :)

Excellent finds,

Nova Treasure

Some great finds there, you are on a good spot! That is a very unusual shape for a belt axe, altough it is small like a belt axe would be.

WOW!!!. That's a pile of buttons. I've only ever had one homestead produce a number of buttons like that, but wasn't quite that early. Good job, there probably is still more there keep at er.

:hello: :icon_thumright: Great finds !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta be more there !!!!!!!!!!!

Good looking post. Gotta love that Spanish! :occasion14:

You do not know how much this post has my passion at an ultimate high. :headbang: This is proof of Kentucky's early history. Those relics would tell an awesome story about the Colonial settler. :icon_thumleft: I would sit and listen to every word. :headbang: :notworthy:

Kirk :hello:

We uns have some old spots here in Kaintuck. You just have to sniff 'em out. ;D

Lordy, I do love thos old buttons ... and Spanish silver makes me smile! Good work. Sift it, brother, sift it!

Dream hunting spot.

Fantastic finds!
To tell you the truth I get just as excited when I find pottery/ceramic shards like the ones you have posted! Those seem to be more personal items connected to the people who lived there. My wife thinks I am crazy however.

Super heap of treasures.

You have some very good items that you found , and that spot you are hunting must be a great place to hunt . Can't hardly wait to see what else you pull out of the ground in that area .

nice collection of finds. I like the pottery shards!
