Finally, after years of confusion, the puzzle pieces
are coming together. Yeah!!!
As of yesterday, a copper pot with blue and white streaks, and a copper bucket found under our rectangle 10x30
Cattle feed barn matched
the ceremonial gifts offered
to the underworld spirits.
This ritual practice started
with theAlgonkian then many followed such as the Ojibwa,
Iroquois etc......my find is ancient and I've felt it in my gut for years about that old barn....more details later, but
I've checked off settlement,
burial mounds, designated
Ceremonial location, tool chipping circles and more...
Gosh, this is fun!! Thankyou
for reading my first share...

Sorry to discount your findings
The enamelled pot is tin-not copper as stated.
It was used most likely for a water/feed or collection pail/bucket around the farm.
I don't know what source you could link this early 20th century made bucket/pail to being ancient and have any indigenous connection.
Though please share your findings with us all.

There were several Native American cultures who not only had similar stone structure sites( stone taverns, kivas), but also believed in offering metal pots or kettles
( copper, brass, iron) and
even buckets to the spirits
of the Underworld), in hopes
of the spirit connecting and providing wisdom and healing.

I found a lot of stone tools and effigies around the same area, but , no biggie, I've been wrong a million times and right a
thousand times...the pot is
globe shaped and hammered.....

That is a ancient metallic offering vessel, it used to transport grain offerings for the sacred bovines and various other agricultural related deities inhabiting the holy shrine in which it was discovered.

There’s some things that don’t line up. They could have offered metal pots but yours would be of an extremely late date as far as trade items go, also copper from glaciers would still have had to travel from northern Kansas down to Texas by hand because glaciers didn’t push into Texas. That would also indicate native made from the beginning and I’ve never heard of natives possessing the ability to create enamel ware. Also the underworld comments seem more Central American, not that others didn’t have various worlds but it seems you’ve mix and matched information
