Ya know, for the last 5 years or so that I've been going to this college, I've never seen my American Flag.
ANYWHERE!
THAT needs to be fixed, my Friends....
I will seek out the Veterans at the College and I've Friends at the local VFW who would gladly donate a flag.

What do we need? a pole?

I have contacts.....

Let's get this fixed....

Is it too much that I want to see my Flag, Flying high, dancing in the wind,
Confirming that I still live in the "Land of the Free?"

Domestic cats kill many more wild birds in the United States than scientists thought, according to a new analysis. Cats may rank as the biggest immediate danger that living around people brings to wildlife, researchers say.

America’s cats, including housecats that adventure outdoors and feral cats, kill between 1.3 billion and 4.0 billion birds in a year, says Peter Marra of the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Washington, D.C., who led the team that performed the analysis. Previous estimates of bird kills have varied, he says, but “500 million is a number that has been thrown around a lot.”

Early in the meeting,

There was a presentation by Chelsey (Spelling?) about "Grant Solicitations,"
And other items on the agenda,
All properly following "Robert's Rules,"
And I was sure that my input was to be required about sources of replacement part, suppliers,
and how to go about locating such as donations or at reduced costs.....

I had prepared a list of a half dozen or so suppliers and contact info.....

The Members wanted me to read the plaque, but I couldn't....
I was close to tears.
Sonja read it aloud....

I then stated that I never expected such recognition;
I Volunteered to repair equipment because of previous jobs that I've had and learned how
and wanted to help those who appreciate the services that Disability Resources provide.
I said that I will continue to look forward to helping in any way that I'm able.

Then, everybody clapped.

Then,
I did cry....

Pictures were taken for their Newsletter.

I told Sonja that if my picture was wanted,
Any Post Office would give them one.....
