It was so unexpected......
I hadn't received any type of recognition since receiving the Certificates of my Military Medals over 30 years ago.

Is "Altruism" in play here?

True "altruism" requires no recognition other than in oneself and that which is anonymous.

I have always tried to be there for those in need and have either found a way to personally help or come up with solutions.

Guess this will be a "positive reinforcement" towards continued future assistance from me....

The photograph in the oval frame in the picture with Otis is a picture of my Mom when she was about 7-8 years old.

I received the picture after She died along with her personal effects....
I was appointed "Probate Executor."

To this day, I don't know how I managed all affairs, including financially,the choosing of the casket, headstone, cards, etc.
Including driving 150 miles one-way to pick up my Sister to stay with me.......

I still have the picture....

(I apologize for the need of a manicure, but, my hands sometimes get dirty helping others....)


Even though I've lost so many things in my life,
I still have my memories.

I've played MANY different guitars and can pretty much pick the "voice" of different manufactures.
I have an "Acute musical ear."
I've tuned pianos by ear.....

Once for my Church....
As I tuned,
With a Unique tuning instrument, that I hand-made,
I remembered Psalm 100!

I felt that my hand, tuning the piano, for "Joyful noise unto the Lord," would surely contribute to
songs of Worship....

I worked at a piddly-a$$ gas station once for about 6 months.

I always wore a cap to work......

With my long hair tucked under....

One day, on my day off,

I pulled in on my "Bike." (Honda 350)
I stopped in to get a Coca-Cola.

The Manager was manning the cash register.
When I approached to pay for the Coca-Cola,
He recognized me and immediately there was a problem.

He said, "Will you cut you hair to keep working here?

I replied,
"Would you have Jesus cut his hair TO SAVE YOUR SOUL?

By the way,

I was fired when I showed up for my next shift.

He was a butt, I won on principle and life keeps on.....
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is.......keep on truckin', Y'all!
