Where's the picture?

:read2: Don't ask Me! :dontknow: :help:

In the Cherokee Indian Museum, They have a large display of these very nice quartz points. Some are even done from glass. Being from Western NC, I looked often for them but only ever found the milky quartz.

A jeweler with a diamond tester would be very easy. I don't know if a diamond will even fracture properly when trying to form a arrowhead. I don't know if it results are a concoidal fracture like glass, obsidian, opal, flint, and chrystaline quartz.
But, just because it is the hardest rock, and or substance, on the earth, doesn't mean it can't break--it does!

I have found a fruit jar bottom, turned pink by the sun, shaped into a scraper. Probably not as durable as rock, but still.....

That is beautiful! I'd get a jeweler to wrap some gold thread around it, for a necklace pendant.
Or display it, atop a base light, for like a nightlight or something.
Great find! Thanks for showing!

STUNNING!A rarity in my neck of the woods

I would get a jeweler to make this into a necklace. Great find.
