Decided to go out for a dig..... winter boredom has set in lol.

Used the Sand Shark in the new mode ..... used it in normal mode last time. I like the new mode much better.

Still learning about the Shark.... giving me very mixed and confusing feelings.

Small items like a copper screw or tiny piece of copper it sounds off great....then swing it over a larger item of same depth and it is a sound only heard by the slight change in threshold hum.
Found a pepsi bottle cap in very wet muddy salt sand ....banging sound.... so i berried it down 8 inches and once again..banging sound !!! Gives me confidence. !!

Skip to the musket balls....only about 4 -5 inches in wet muddy salt sand..... a low sound noticed at first by change in the threshold hum. BUT also my Fisher F75 will also give a low noise sometimes on musket balls. However.. IT DID FIND THEM.

The Silver Spoon rang in loud n clear at about 6 inches. Hope to find a silver coin in salt to see what it does.

So far I,m liking it..today was much better than day 1.....think the new mode is much better and it pinpoints great.....only needed my pinpointer twice.

Ok...here is pictures of my day...... BTW.. it was -7 and winds at 25 knots making a much colder wind chill and snowing...lolol.

My coil was freezing up with ice and mud.......maybe I need to see a Doctor !!!!!!

Save your money for the doctor.

Nice stuff. But, better you than me. I tried for a bit in my yard to scratch that itch. Ya know, even though I found a couple items. It just plain wasn't any fun. Had too dress too heavy, the wind kept stinging my eyes, the ground was frozen, I could barely hear above the wind.

I'm as hard core as they get but, ya know, I think I'm ruining the hobby for me. I'm turning it into something too close to going to work. I'm beginning to think that the stuff I've been looking for has been underground for 100's of years! I can wait until both the desire and the weather are in place. At least, tolerable. Maybe, just maybe, I am getting old. :dontknow:

But, that's just me.

Kudos on the stamina to get out and the nice finds!

YA... is no good to even think again land hunting here... everything froze harder than the hinges of hell. !!!

Thats why i put my order into the wifey for new saltwater MD for Xmas !!!!!!!!!

Giving plus temps here for the weekend... so i,ll get out again to scratch the itch..... but yes is frustrating waiting for spring.

Looks like a great place to hunt. Your pump is certainly a conversation starter! You proved the point: where there's a will, there's a way. Silver to boot!:coffee2:

Glad you got a hunt in. Good chunk of silver too.

Only hunt number 2, and I see a lack of nails in this hunt.

Ya..I moved to a different location...still dug a lot of junk iron.. but it coulda been good junk iron.....lotsa big spikes and copper everywhere..is possible coulda been a old ship ..never know.
The copper seemed so outta place there.....so is a possibility.

The nails do make a different noise..almost like a double tone.

Think it is just a matter of learning the machine and i will be bale to pass by some of the junk.

Also the new mode seems to make a huge difference... much louder / crisp sound.....but i also lowered the threshold a lil bit and upped the gain...so as i said---gotta learn the machine to find the goods.

YA.. the pump is definitely a different item

Always fun when someone stops in and i show them my finds..... they find it very interesting when you show them these kinda items.

Nice finds, it was worth braving the cold for. We get the same way here. Winter bordem forces us out in those types of conditions also.
