Day 20 - Big Grass Field...... Tough day

I have recently got a cold/illness from my better half. I thought I had escaped it for two weeks :P

I have Easter off & go back Tuesday, however we are forecast some of the worst weather I have seen (wind,rain,snow etc). Today was windy & rainy but its going to get worse so I put on an extra layer & went & braved the weather.

Only good news was the wind was hitting me from the sides instead of in the face.

2 hours into the hunt I had nothing & the rain & wind got harder, thankfully after 3 hours 15 mins I was rescued by my slightly annoyed misses.

Found only;
Piece of pot handle from a Roman or maybe medieval vessel.
Horse decoration
Thimble

I was slightly rewarded with;
14th century Clasp Fastener, looks like a buckle but they had no pin & it is still uncertain how they were fixed. The usual type is a Kings Head, this one is a Zoomorphic type with holes for eyes & little ears. This is a first for me 8)

Time for a warm bath
