D'em Bones!

Picked these up this afternoon...not entirely sure that they are even artifacts but they look worked. There is a real nice polish on the holed piece. Input would be appreciated! Click on the pictures for some crazy zoom!

Looks like a bullet hole in that one.
The entire bone including the hole and the broken end is evenly worn down to a Polish..water find?
The other is a segment of interior turtle shell...that's part of its rib structure on the concave side.

Yep...found on the shore of the Bay of Fundy in a sandy inlet. I was curious as this was a popular native fishing area...other artifacts found in the area but not by me.

nice piece the hole however is drilled with what looks to be some kind of stone drill........not a bullet hole

Hey Romeo-1! The bone with the hole in it appears to be the proximal joint of the Radius-large bone in the forearm with a hole drilled it to be worn as a necklace! The smaller appears to be the shaft of the same bone, but difficult to identify as it has obviously been worked to some extent! Hope that helps!! GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

I see what your seeing but I think it's deceiving .. every surface of that bone piece including the edges that would have showed the lattice work of bone structure are evenly and completely worn.
Including what would have been a chip that gives the appearance of a drill starting at an angle and the edges of the hole.
Given the amount of wear on the entire surface any evidence of being drilled by stone would have been completely worn away.
That's just my take on it.
The second piece is most definitely a section of turtle shell.. the beaches and shorelines here are strewn with them.. no work has been done to it.

larson1951! GatorBoy makes a good call on the turtle, but the Radius bone appears drilled and probably worn as an Amulet! VERDE!
